Thank you, Michael. Michael Parks grew up in my hometown, Ft. Scott, during a time when he experienced prejudice (which he later wrote about in his novel, THE LEARNING TREE). At the end of his life he wrote the message on the “life marker,” though he was actually buried back East. I love the message and see it as hope for reconciliation.
